and Digital Literacy for Teacher Education
People who born during 1995-2010 is a part of
Generation Z, so that basically we are Gen Z. Unlike the previous generations, we
born with technology around us. Nowadays, technology is like a part of our life
that can’t be released from our grasp even for a second. Because people in the
21st century live in a technology and media-driven environment. It's all marked
by some kinds of characteristics, which is; access to an abundance of
information, rapid changes in technology tools, and the ability to collaborate
and make individual contributions on an unprecedented scale. That's why the
effective citizens and workers of the 21st century must be able to exhibit a
range of functional and critical thinking skills related to information, media
and technology.
Talking about technology, we have to know what is digital literacy especially for teacher education. Digital literacy is the ability to use digital technology, communications tools, and networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information in order to function in a knowledge society.
